What we are looking for:
We are looking for a hands-on, execution-focused leader to oversee end-to-end infused gummy production, including cooking, depositing, demolding, packaging, and labeling. This role will own daily operations and play a key role in any capital expansion or facility enhancement initiatives. You will lead a high-efficiency program producing 1,000+ kg of cooked mass and 150,000+ gummy units per month, while supporting R&D, SOP development, and team growth. This role reports to the VP, Operations.

What you’ll be doing…
Edibles Production Execution
  • Oversee daily operations from cooking through final labeling to hit output targets.
  • Lead scheduling and production of multiple SKUs across cooking, depositing, demolding, packaging, and labeling.
  • Track throughput, yields, batch compliance, and labor utilization across the full production flow.
  • Ensure team coordination and discipline across changeovers, sanitation, and mold handling.
Protocol and Compliance Oversight
  • Enforce GMP, food safety, and QA/QC standards across all stages of gummy production.
  • Ensure accurate, audit-ready batch records, dosing logs, and inventory usage.
  • Partner with QA and Inventory to maintain traceability and labeling compliance.
Capital Project & Transition Execution
  • Play a key leadership role in capital expansion efforts, including layout feedback, equipment commissioning, and SOP readiness.
  • Train the team and maintain consistent execution through transitions or upgrades.
  • Minimize downtime and protect output and quality during investment-related changes.
R&D and Product Commercialization
  • Partner with Commercialization team to test and scale new SKUs across flavor, form, and cannabinoid profile.
  • Run pilot batches and translate formulation intent into efficient, repeatable production processes.
  • Support rapid SKU changes and innovation while protecting batch quality.
Team Development and Ownership Culture
    • Build and lead a cross-functional production team across kitchen and packaging.
    • Reinforce accountability, GMP discipline, and strong communication at every production stage.
    • Develop shift leads and floor operators aligned to high-growth performance expectations.

How we will measure success…
  • Objective 1: Hit production output targets
    • Produce at least 1,000 kg of cooked mass and 150,000 gummies per month
    • Package and distribute 10,000+ edibles finished good units per month
  • Objective 2: Support R&D and product commercialization efforts
    • Launch new SKUs on time ≥90% of the time.
    • Ensure 100% of new SKUs have documented SOPs before full-scale production.
  • Objective 3: Strengthen operational discipline and team performance
    • Maintain full traceability and QA documentation for all SKUs.
    • Build and coach a team aligned to output, accountability, and continuous

Professional Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • 3–5 years of experience in food manufacturing, commercial kitchens, or cannabis edibles production
  • Proven track record managing high-throughput, multi-SKU production environments
  • Hands-on experience with batch cooking, depositing equipment, and mold handling workflows
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, food safety standards, and traceability protocols
  • Ability to interpret and maintain batch records, SOPs, and QA documentation
  • Experience leading teams and managing cross-functional workflows (e.g., kitchen + packaging)
  • Comfortable working in hot, cold, or high-humidity environments and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary, food science, or manufacturing degree preferred

The expected salary range for this position is between $75,000-$85,000
