As one of OpenTable’s Top 25 Restaurants, The Bistro at Childress Vineyards is seeking a passionate and driven culinary professional to join our dynamic team. Our fast-paced, high-energy kitchen is the perfect environment for an individual with a team-first attitude, a desire to grow, and the ability to thrive under pressure.
In this role, you’ll work directly with our Executive Chef and collaborate closely with both the kitchen and front-of-house teams. We’re looking for someone who holds themselves to high standards, is eager to learn, and values the importance of maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
Qualifications:
-1–2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen, catering, or restaurant setting
-Knowledge of and training in proper sanitation and food safety standards
-Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit
-Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Work Environment & Additional Requirements:
-This role operates in a dynamic, high-energy kitchen environment that includes evenings and weekends
-Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds and stand for extended periods
-Availability on weekends, holidays, occasional evenings, and for winery events is required
-Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening
