Job Description

At Germantown Cricket Club, we are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Service Staff to join our team, including Dining Room Servers, Bussers, and Food Runners. In these roles, you will play a crucial part in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our members and their guests across all dining areas, events, patios, and clubhouse spaces.

This position requires a strong commitment to hospitality, teamwork, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-standard private club environment.

Weekday and weekend shifts are available. Candidates must be available to work holidays, be able to lift up to 25–50 pounds, provide prompt and attentive service, and demonstrate strong customer service and beverage knowledge.

This position begins as seasonal with the potential for future employment. On-the-job training is provided; experience is required.

Duties

• Set up dining rooms and service areas according to daily service or event specifications, including table settings and overall presentation
• Provide professional and timely food and beverage service to members and guests
• Deliver food accurately from the kitchen to tables, ensuring proper presentation and temperature
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and resetting promptly
• Assist with guest needs, including refills, condiments, and special requests
• Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards at all times
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth and efficient service
• Support opening, during-service, and closing side work responsibilities
• Assist with event setup and breakdown, including cleaning and resetting spaces
• Participate in banquet and private events as required; attendance for scheduled events may be mandatory
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of service stations, expo areas, and back-of-house spaces
• Uphold high standards of hospitality, professionalism, and member service

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or hospitality is required
• Knowledge of food safety practices is a plus
• Strong guest relations skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
• Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
• Experience in bartending or coffee service is a plus but not required
• Experience working with POS systems is highly desirable
• Must attend pre-shift meetings
• RAMP Certification preferred
• ServSafe Certification preferred
