Position: Director of Finance and Business Operations
Status: Full time, exempt

Description
St. Therese North Catholic Church in Kansas City, Missouri, a large parish with a grade school and early childhood center, is seeking to fill the position of full time Director of Finance and Business Operations. This is a leadership position that oversees all financial functions, administrative systems, and business operations to support the overall parish. This position reports to the Pastor.
Responsibilities
· Manage preparation of financial statements monthly, quarterly, and annually.
· Manage and direct all accounting functions such as accounts payable, general ledger activity and financial reporting.
· Oversee core Human Resources administrative functions, such as management of payroll, onboarding, benefits, administration, timekeeping and medical leaves.
· Manage and oversee the day-to-day maintenance needs and project related maintenance, repair and upkeep of buildings and grounds throughout the campus.
· Prepare, administer and review budget in collaboration with the Pastor, School Principal, Early Education Center Director and Finance Committee subject to review and/or approval as required.
· Maintain sound banking relationships, including the reconciliation of banking records.
· Coordinate liability, property and workers compensation insurance claims.
· Manage the finance coordinator/bookkeeper and other office administrative staff.
· Oversee the business operations of the parish.

Qualifications
· Undergraduate degree in accounting, business or finance, or equivalent work experience.
· Minimum of five years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
· Intermediate to advanced skill level in Accounting and Database Software.
· Understanding and familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
· Experience with Sage Intacct Accounting Software, preferred.
· Supervisory/management experience.
· Active Catholic in good standing is preferred, though familiarity with the Catholic understanding of ministry is required.
