Job Overview

ACE Fire Protection is seeking a working, hands-on Warehouse Lead to support and improve daily warehouse operations at our Brooklyn facility. This is a floor-based leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, takes ownership of processes, and brings structure and organization to a fast-moving warehouse environment.

This position blends warehouse execution with junior-level leadership. Youll be actively preparing orders, loading trucks, managing inventory flow, and helping improve how the warehouse operates day to day. This is not a desk-only or administrative manager rolewere looking for someone who leads by example and gets the work done alongside the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, stage, and organize materials and equipment for daily service orders

  • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently

  • Offload deliveries and verify incoming materials

  • Operate (or learn to operate) forklifts and warehouse equipment

  • Lift, move, and handle materials and equipment up to approximately 50 lbs

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-laid-out warehouse environment

  • Manage inventory accuracy, space utilization, and material flow

  • Track inventory using warehouse or inventory software (training provided)

  • Support and guide warehouse operations with a leadership mindset

  • Identify inefficiencies and bring improvement ideas to the team

  • Take ownership of day-to-day warehouse execution and reliability

Qualifications
  • Prior warehouse, inventory, or logistics experience preferred

  • Physically capable and willing to work on the warehouse floor daily

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

  • Process-minded with the ability to think through workflow and layout

  • Comfortable learning and using inventory or tracking software

  • Reliable, accountable, and self-motivated

  • Able to work independently while supporting team operations

  • Strong communication skills and a solutions-oriented mindset

Nice to Have
  • Forklift experience or certification (training available if needed)

  • Experience coordinating inventory or warehouse operations

  • Exposure to construction, fire protection, or trade-based environments

What This Role Is Not
  • Not a purely administrative or desk-based position

  • Not a senior or high-level operations manager role

  • Not suitable for someone unwilling to perform physical labor
