About the Role:

As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic within the Administrative and Support and Waste Management and Remediation Services industry, you will play a critical role in ensuring the operational reliability and safety of heavy machinery used in waste management and remediation projects. Your expertise will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, compactors, and other specialized vehicles essential to daily operations. You will be responsible for diagnosing mechanical issues, performing routine maintenance, and executing complex repairs to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan. Collaboration with operations teams and adherence to safety and environmental regulations will be paramount to your success. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a formal heavy equipment mechanic training program or apprenticeship.
• Proven experience working as a heavy equipment mechanic, preferably within waste management or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical components of heavy machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification from recognized bodies such as the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) in heavy equipment repair.
• Experience with computerized diagnostic equipment and maintenance management software.
