About This Position
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Vacation Rental Lead Housekeeper who takes pride in creating immaculate, welcoming spaces for our guests. This role is essential to delivering a high-quality guest experience by ensuring our vacation homes are consistently clean, well-stocked, and guest-ready.
The ideal candidate is proactive, efficient, and service-minded, with a strong eye for detail and a commitment to upholding brand standards. As a Vacation Rental Lead Housekeeper, you will play a critical role in maintaining the comfort, cleanliness, and presentation of our properties while working closely with operations and guest experience teams.
Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare vacation rental homes between guest stays, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of housekeeping staff (room attendants, cleaners, public area staff).
- Ensure timely cleaning of rooms, especially for check-ins and check-outs.
- Make beds, change linens, dust, vacuum, mop, sanitize surfaces, and restock guest amenities and supplies.
- Inspect properties for cleanliness, damages, missing items, or maintenance concerns and report issues promptly to management.
- Ensure homes meet established quality, safety, and presentation standards prior to guest arrival.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of linen closets, storage areas, and housekeeping carts.
- Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and towels.
- Fulfill guest housekeeping-related requests in a timely and professional manner when required.
- Return items left behind by guests to the designated lost and found process.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational excellence.
- Monitor staff performance and provide feedback or corrective action when needed.
- Promote teamwork and maintain staff morale.
- Ensure proper use and care of all work equipment and assets.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality standards.
- Ability to work independently while managing time effectively to meet turnover schedules.
- Knowledge of proper use and handling of cleaning supplies and chemicals.
- Willingness to follow established cleaning checklists and standard operating procedures.
- Friendly, professional demeanor with a service-oriented mindset.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel between properties as needed.
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, early mornings, and evenings.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience
- Previous cleaning and/or supervisory experience
- Must have a cell phone
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to fifty (50) pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to climb stairs and navigate multi-level properties.
- Capability to perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
- Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and supplies safely.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors and in varying weather conditions as required.
