About This Position

Description:

Certified Power is a leader in the engineering, manufacturing and distribution of hydraulic systems and controls for the mobile and industrial OEM markets.

We are looking for either fluid power applications engineers or mobile controls engineers. If you want to design fluid power systems and develop controls, we will provide both in-house and vendor training and safe environment to learn.

We work closely with our customers to develop solutions and solve problems that others can’t. Use our market leading product portfolio to develop hydraulic, pneumatic, electro-hydraulic, and electronic control systems.

Job Description and Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work with customers and sales to determine system requirements
  • Develop integrated systems (hydraulic, electrical, and controls)
  • Develop solutions to meet cost, delivery, and performance requirements
  • Provide quotes and drawings in line with the complexity of the system
  • Work with customers to test and commission new systems
  • Complete necessary drawings and bills of material for production release
  • Provide technical support to key customers and sales team
Requirements:

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: 2-year technical degree in Fluid power, or a College degree with fluid power coursework, or 2+ years of fluid power applications or mobile controls experience
  • 7+ years of fluid power or automation experience
  • Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office - Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 15%
  • Demonstrates a detailed knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical engineering principles and supports the development of these within peers
  • Build strong relationships with team and customers
  • Listens and seeks to understand ideas of other people
  • Effectively communicates complex ideas
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Able to apply technical problem-solving skills and knowledge to make sound decisions under pressure
