This position offers:

$1000.00 SIGN-ON BONUS

New hires must meet employment eligibility requirements:

Bonus will be paid out upon completion of 90 days of employment with total net amount paid after taxes.

Job Summary

Oversee and manage field labor for landscape construction projects. The Crew Leader will be responsible for leading a team of crew members and technicians, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. Crew Leaders directly report to Project Supervisor or Construction Project Managers.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards of job site safety, cleanliness, and organization
  • Supervise and lead a crew of 2–6 team members on landscape construction projects
  • Interpret blueprints, site plans, and construction drawings to guide installation activities
  • Ensure proper installation of hardscape (pavers, retaining walls, patios), softscape (trees, shrubs, sod), irrigation systems, drainage, and other landscape elements
  • Coordinate daily tasks, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress to meet deadlines and specifications
  • Operate and maintain construction equipment (e.g., skid steers, compactors, saws, trenchers)
  • Communicate effectively with Construction Project Managers, Project Supervisors and Subcontractors to ensure smooth execution and field coordination
  • Train and mentor crew members to promote skill development and team performance
Requirements:

Required Skills/Abilities

  • 2+ years of experience in landscape construction preferably within the Greenery Team
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong knowledge of landscape installation techniques, equipment, and tools
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical documents
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred+

Education and Experience

  • High school graduate or equivalent desired
  • Previous outside construction, landscape, or similar field experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills a must
  • 6 months commercial landscape experience preferred but not required

Physical Requirements

  • Outdoor work environment in varying weather conditions.
  • May require lifting up to 50 lbs and working with tools or machinery.
  • Exposure to machinery, dirt, and dust
  • May require occasional overtime, including weekends
  • May require travel to outside locations and overnight stays
