Restaurant Shift Supervisor at OLDE MILL INN AT BERNARDS – Basking Ridge, New Jersey

The Grain House Restaurant is hiring a Supervisor to join our award-winning, high-volume restaurant. We are currently seeking a talented, service oriented, self-driven individual to join our dynamic team comprised of dedicated and passionate people who take great pride in delivering a great dining experience!

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Monitor and supervise the timely arrival of scheduled employees, manage unforeseen challenges
• “Open” and “Close” restaurant including but not limited to running reports, secure buildings, and checking server envelope at the end of the shift.
• Responsible for getting the specials at each meal period from the chef & typing them up for faxing to the front desk & issuing to the staff.
• Running a pre-shift meeting at each meal period to review specials, go over issues & answer questions.
• Responsible for plotting & confirming all reservations during assigned meal periods.
• Address customer concerns in reference to products, services rendered or employee interactions
• Actively seek to resolve any concerns while adhering to the company policy and standards of behavior

• POS experience are a plus
• Ability to assess situations quickly, properly, and accurately while adhering to company policies
• Ability to facilitate a positive environment and support a safe and productive workplace
• Proven leadership and experience managing a diverse team is preferred
• Effective in prioritizing daily tasks while accounting for the unforeseen
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays
• Flexibility to be on-call and fill-in where the business needs dictate
