Parts and Supplies Purchasing Agent at AIR ENGINEERS, LLC – St. Petersburg, Florida

Air Engineers is seeking an experience Parts and Supplies Purchasing Agent responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring parts and supplies from a range of vendors including Trane, American Standard, Mitsubishi, Associated Distributor partners, and other approved suppliers. This role ensures timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials to support operational needs, while maintaining strong vendor relationships and adhering to company procurement policies. The Purchasing Agent will monitor inventory levels, track orders, resolve supply issues, and collaborate with internal departments to forecast demand and optimize purchasing strategies.

Essential Responsibilities

• Purchase Trane and American Standard OEM parts for stock inventory
• Purchase supplies for stock inventory from 25+ vendors
• Using sales history and forecasting, maintain inventory levels for supplies and OEM parts
• Place direct orders for supplies and OEM parts based on procurement from sales team
• Upload price updates in ERP system (Solar Eclipse)
• Set up new SKUs in ERP, and manage/update product files for existing SKUs
• Confirm ERP SKU pricing for supplies and OEM parts against vendor invoices
• File claims with vendors for shipment discrepancies or damage

Qualifications

Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred, not required.

Minimum Experience: Previous experience in purchasing, inventory management, customer service, and HVAC distribution is highly desirable.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
• Proficiency using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of HVAC system and products is an advantage
