About This Position

Description:

An Outside Sales Representative is primarily focused on prospecting, acquisition, and retention of targeted clients for Jubitz product lines in the Portland and Vancouver areas, and beyond. These lines consist of Commercial Fuel Cards, Onsite Mobile Refueling and Lubricants. A full understanding of all products and services, as well as offerings by competitors within the industry is vital to success. The Sales Rep plays a crucial role in generating revenue for the company, while executing sales programs in a professional manner.

This position is responsible for generating new business.

Commission is subsidized the first three years of employment.

  • Wage: Base Salary, Residual Commissions & Bonuses

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Gather customer or product information to determine customer needs by frequently visiting establishments and promoting product or service sales.
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations in a professional and effective manner.
  • Create proposals and present to prospects to close purchase agreements on a consistent basis.
  • Manage weekly schedule related to prospecting, sales meetings, account closes and set up.
  • Maintain continuing call activity records in customer files through CRM.
  • Participate in collection calls as necessary at the direction of management. Responsible for maintaining “perfected” consolidations and developing branch opportunities.
  • Act as an advisor to clients and pay particular attention to existing customer purchasing patterns while developing a plan to introduce new products.
  • Keep accurate customer information updated in database.
  • Answer questions regarding products, prices, availability, or credit terms.
  • Build continuous knowledge and core competencies related to products, industry and customer needs.
  • Provide industry expertise to customers and products and be able to explain the value of Jubitz as a service provider of petroleum products.
  • Act with integrity and high ethical standards, behaving professionally at all times.
  • Develop & maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Participate in the development and execution of the company’s goals and initiatives.
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of company activities related to customers.
Requirements:
  • Valid Class C Drivers’ License (State of Oregon or Washington), clean Motor Vehicle Record. Must have reliable transportation for traveling to client sites.
  • Three years in business-to-business sales experience preferred; one year business-to-business sales experience in transportation industry highly preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Additional Information

This position functions primarily in the field and at customer sites promoting and selling company products. Ability to travel between company buildings and customer sites is necessary. This position will occasionally work in a business office setting and the employee may be required to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time, operate a computer, and communicate verbally and in writing.
