About This Position
Develop and implement staffing patterns that meet program and individual needs.
· Ensure all client files are updated and compliant with state and CARF regulations.
· Review and sign off on monthly progress notes, daily contact notes, and incident reports.
· Directly observe staff and mentor them in the Recovery Model approach.
· Conduct interviews, hire, train, and develop staff to perform their duties competently.
· Perform probationary and annual performance evaluations and provide regular feedback.
Manage shifts and hours & Recovery ProcessManage scheduling, including overseeing staff time sheets, time-off requests, and mileage claims.
· Maintain an on-call schedule to address staff concerns.
Recovery Process Support:
· Maintain familiarity with all relevant client information including diagnosis, treatment plans, and medication.
· Coordinate Individual Recovery Plans (IRPs) and ensure treatment plans are individualized and person-centered.
· Assess clients’ stage of change and apply appropriate interventions.
· Participate in the development of treatment plans and overall recovery goals.
Coordination of Care:
· Act as a liaison with pharmacies, psychiatrists, and other healthcare providers.
· Ensure timely scheduling of medication reviews and documentation of treatments.
· Coordinate somatic care and hospitalization needs.
· Foster ongoing communication with clients’ families, educating them on the Recovery Model.
· Implement crisis intervention and management plans.
:Case Management & Intake:
· Ensure all clients are assigned a case manager and support case management in admissions and discharge planning.
· Coordinate financial matters such as entitlement applications with case management.
· Participate in intake interviews and team discussions for new client referrals.
Housing & Facility :
· Oversee housing inspections and coordinate repair needs with the Facilities Director.
· Conduct quarterly inspections of all residential sites to ensure compliance with regulations and professional standards.
Crisis Intervention:
· Identify early warning signs of psychiatric and physical decompensation and take appropriate action.
· Diffuse and address behavioral or psychiatric crises to maintain safety and well-being.
· Promote healthy coping mechanisms and assist clients in managing stressors.
Community Engagement:
· Supervise Rehabilitation Specialists in facilitating community outings and activities that encourage connections with the broader community.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in a human services field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling, etc.) from an accredited college or university.
· Minimum of two years’ experience working in the mental health or psychosocial rehabilitation field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge and experience with the Recovery Model in mental health and substance abuse recovery services.
· Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
· Ability to respond to crises and manage stressful situations.
· Physical ability to perform office work, visit off-site housing, and assist clients as necessary, including lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
