We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team in Pompano, FL.

Position Summary

The Project Engineer will support day-to-day construction operations, assist with estimating, and provide critical project coordination for the Traffic Division. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on project involvement, problem-solving, and contributing to efficient construction execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Project Manager with daily operational aspects of construction projects
  • Assist the estimating team with project take-offs
  • Verify monthly subcontractor payables
  • Participate in internal scheduling meetings
  • Assist in developing operational plans and documents
  • Support the preparation of claims and documentation
  • Perform small estimating tasks as needed
  • Monitor and track productivity using company tools and systems
  • Conduct material take-offs for active projects
  • Order, release, and track materials as required
  • Perform field observations and site visits on construction projects
Required Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong interest in construction, project management, and accounting principles
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and field personnel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage changing priorities
