About This Position
Objective:
The Room Attendant is responsible for supporting the comfort and satisfaction of Old House Hotel & Spa guests by ensuring guest rooms and public spaces are cleaned, maintained, and presented to the highest standards. Working in alignment with the Hotel’s service culture, operational expectations, and established housekeeping procedures, this role contributes to a welcoming, safe, and exceptional guest experience.
With a strong focus on consistency, attention to detail, and efficiency, the Room Attendant takes pride in maintaining cleanliness, reporting maintenance concerns, and ensuring guest spaces are properly stocked and ready for arrival. Through a professional and collaborative approach, this position supports the overall success of the Housekeeping department and the daily operation of the hotel.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean guest rooms and public areas to hotel standards.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
- Make beds and change linens.
- Dust furniture and surfaces.
- Clean windows and mirrors as needed.
- Clean kitchen areas, equipment, and appliances in suites as needed.
- Refill guest room supplies.
- Report maintenance problems.
- Follow lost and found rules and report items right away.
- Keep guest rooms secure and respect guest privacy at all times.
Preferred Education & Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping experience an asset
- Good communication & organization skills
- Detailed oriented
- Ability to work independently
- Must be available weekends, and holidays

- Works well alone and works well with a team.
- Good attention to detail.
- Works safely and follows cleaning instructions.
- Reliable and on time for scheduled shifts
- Able to complete physical tasks (standing, walking, lifting, bending).
- Able to work weekends and holidays when needed.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
