Field Supervisor – Environmental Services

On-Call / Travel / Emergency Response Role:
Miller Environmental Group (MEG) is seeking a Field Supervisor to manage day-to-day field operations for environmental, industrial, and remediation projects. This role oversees Foremen and crews, coordinates subcontractors, enforces safety and compliance, and ensures accurate documentation.
The Field Supervisor serves as the on-site client contact, supports project execution, and addresses operational issues. This position supports both emergency response and scheduled work and requires strong leadership and the ability to oversee overall site performance.

Compensation:
- Starting pay: $30/hour+, depending on experience
- Overtime pay after 8 hours in a day
- 1.5x pay for Saturday work
- 2x pay for Sunday work

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Daily Field Operations – Direct Foremen, technicians, drivers, and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant project execution.
- Ensure Safety and Regulatory Compliance – Enforce company safety practices, OSHA requirements, and operational protocols; conduct field safety checks and verify proper PPE use.
- Oversee Field Documentation – Ensure accurate completion of daily job reports, worksheets, chain-of-custody forms, manifests, maps, and other required documentation.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager and Operations – Communicate project needs, field status, resource requirements, and emerging issues to the Project Manager and Operations Coordinator.
- Communicate with Clients On-Site – Provide on-site updates, represent the company professionally, and elevate project-level discussions to the Project Manager.
- Monitor Productivity and Job Efficiency – Track field performance, supply usage, job progress, and adherence to schedules and budgets.
- Escalate Performance and Operational Issues – Elevate significant performance concerns, safety violations, or unresolved operational problems to the Branch Manager.
- Support DOT and Fleet Compliance – Ensure field activities follow company fleet and driver-qualification requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage day-to-day field activities across crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials.
- Working knowledge of safety practices, OSHA requirements, environmental regulations, and quality standards.
- Strong ability to collaborate with employees, clients, subcontractors, and the Project Manager.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to multi-task and maintain attention to detail in fast-paced, time-sensitive field environments.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and persistent with strong problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work extended hours, overtime, travel, weekends, holidays, and on-call Must pass a fit-for-duty physical, drug/alcohol screening, and background check
Education/Training/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Five (5) or more years of progressive experience in environmental remediation, industrial cleaning, waste management, construction, or similar field, including demonstrated supervisory or project-management experience.
- Successful completion of safety, mechanical, hazmat, equipment, and related technical training as required for project types and regulatory compliance
- Experience with chemical handling or air monitoring equipment preferred.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Field-based work primarily outdoors for 8–12+ hours per day
- Exposure to noise, chemicals, uneven terrain, confined spaces, and elevated work areas
- Required use of PPE including coveralls, gloves, eye protection, respirators, air monitors, and fully encapsulated suits
- Ability to wear fully encapsulated Level A PPE with SCBA for extended periods when required
