About This Position

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a driven and resourceful Collections & Asset Recovery Officer to manage the full lifecycle of delinquent accounts across our electric motorbike financing portfolio in Kigali.

This is a hybrid role combining call-based collections with hands-on field investigations and asset recovery. The ideal candidate is confident both on the phone and in field operations, and can work effectively with clients, law enforcement, and community stakeholders. A driving License(Cat A) is an advantage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Collections & Account Management
  • Make outbound calls to clients with overdue payments and negotiate sustainable repayment plans in line with company guidelines.
  • Manage a portfolio of delinquent accounts and plan daily and weekly collection activities to meet recovery targets.
  • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies on client accounts.
  • Handle client inquiries and complaints, escalating complex issues to the supervisor when necessary.
2. Asset Risk & Field Operations
  • Conduct field investigations for high-risk cases including fraud, vandalism, and emergency situations involving financed electric motorbikes.
  • Respond promptly to field cases and collaborate with Police, local authorities, and Boda Boda networks to locate and recover assets.
  • Facilitate recovery of impounded assets from police stations through negotiation and professional engagement.
  • Attend court or legal proceedings when required and provide relevant evidence or case support.
3. Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with police stations, Boda Boda stages, and local community leaders.
  • Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on collection activity, case progress, and asset recovery status.
  • Ensure all case information is accurately updated in company systems in a timely manner.
4. General Compliance & Performance
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and code of conduct.
  • Proactively suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
  • Participate actively in meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.
