About This Position
Director, Business Innovation Hub & FT Business Faculty
Gwynedd Mercy University is seeking a director for its new Business & Innovation Hub and a full-time faculty member to teach undergraduate and graduate business courses. The successful candidate will connect academic learning with corporate and community innovation, and embed experiential learning across undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education pathways. Rank and tenure status are commensurate with credentials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Business Department Chair, advisory board, and administration to develop and implement the Business & Innovation Hub.
- Scale student-facing innovation initiatives; build durable corporate, nonprofit, and public-sector partnerships; and deliver hands-on programs (innovation sprints, idea jams, consulting projects, micro-challenges, and venture studios) that prepare students to solve pressing business and societal challenges.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
- Advise business program students.
- Collaborate with the Business Department Chair to strengthen recruitment and retention efforts.
- Work with Business Department Chair and business faculty to ensure curriculum compliance with IACBE accreditation standards.
- Earned doctorate in business (DBA or PhD) or MBA with relevant senior-level industry experience.
- Prior experience in academic leadership and learning outcomes assessment.
- Demonstrated innovative and entrepreneurial approach to program and curriculum development.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and partnership cultivation.
- Experience and facility with industry technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate on multidisciplinary projects.
- Experience in on-ground, hybrid, and online teaching modalities.
- Experience with Canvas or other LMS.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
