Job Summary
The Parts Inspector is responsible for performing dimensional inspections of precision parts and assemblies using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and other precision measuring instruments. This role ensures products meet engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, and customer specifications while supporting quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional, in-process, receiving and final inspection
- Setup and programming of CMM equipment
- Measure and record all necessary quality inspection requirements
- Validate, run and properly store programs used in CMM inspections
- Calibrate inspection equipment as needed
- Create non-conformities for parts that do not meet requirement
Requirements
- Requires proficient computer skills including MS Office products. Database and ERP software knowledge is a plus
- Excellence in professionalism and maturity in all actions and communications with leadership and fellow employees
- Knowledge and experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience in CNC machine shops and a fundamental understanding of manufacturing processes
- knowledge of quality control, inspection methods and use of measuring tools and CMM
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High School Education
