Group Fitness Instructor at Hunterdon Health Care System – Whitehouse Station, New Jersey

Position Summary

Instructs group exercise class(es),taking into consideration varying abilities of the clientele while providing continual observation and direction to ensure a safe exercise area

Primary Position Responsibilities

1.Recognizes a safe environment and the safe execution of activities being performed is the priority for all members and guests.

2.Dedication to customer service by promoting a friendly atmosphere and keeping all members engaged.

3.Recognizes good communication and keeping all well-informed is the key to smooth operations.

4.Recognizes consistency in programming and instructor dependability is important for member satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

Required:

●High School Diploma or Equivalent

●Certification from accredited agency for Group Exercise Instruction

Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):

Required:

None

Preferred:

1-2 years of prior group exercise instruction experience

License, Registry or Certification:

Required:

●CPR/AED certification (or must be completed within 60 days of hire)

●Certification from accredited agency for Group Exercise Instruction

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:

Required:

Good communication and interpersonal skills. Consistent and dependable.
