Position Description:

Master Electrician is a highly skilled, licensed professional who oversees all electrical installations, ensuring compliance with regulations, designs systems, installs wiring and fixtures, conducts inspections, and troubleshoots complex issues, often leading teams and coordinating with other trades. Master Electrician may perform all electrical work, including electrical work performed by a master sign electrician, may supervise an electrician, may verify compliance with on the job training requirements for the issuance of a master electrician license, a master sign electrician license, a journeyman electrician license, or a journeyman sign electrician license, and may serve as a master on record for an electrical sign contractor.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct electrical installations, inspections, and repairs in compliance with local and national electrical codes.
  2. Obtain necessary permits and ensure that all electrical work complies with local, state and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
  3. Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  4. Collaborate with team members during the mobilization stage, including a site visit, to ensure seamless onboarding.
  5. Perform all tasks with a focus on safety, quality, and meeting project deadlines.
  6. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints.
  7. Implement and oversee preventative maintenance programs
  8. Managing electrical projects including scheduling, budgeting and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  9. Manage and organize tools, equipment and materials required for electrical work.
  10. Design electrical systems for new construction or renovations considering the specific needs of the project.
  11. Maintain accurate records of electrical work performed.
  12. 480 Volts -Highly Skilled oversee all electric installation in compliance with safety standards
  13. 5Hp- 500HP motors.
  14. PLC programming and troubleshooting is essential.
  15. Observe all company and customer policies and safety requirements.
  16. All other duties as assigned.


Position Requirements:

1. Valid Electrical License

2. Valid Texas Driver License

3. Must possess a minimum 5 -8 years’ experience in Electrical work

4. Must be able to work outdoors 90% of the time.

5. Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) is required.

6. Ability to maintain all types of records

7. Must be able to pass Drug and Alcohol testing.

8. Must be willing to travel to different job sites/ locations and work long hours in various weather conditions.

Additional Information:

The employee assumes responsibility and is presumed to know the routine work details and performance standards of the job and to perform assigned tasks with direct supervision. Employee may be subject to long hours, weekend and holiday work. Work requires the direction and guidance of lead man, foreman, supervisor and helpers.
