What You’ll Do
Own the Numbers
- Manage daily accounting activities for a portfolio of multifamily properties and related entities
- Monitor general ledger activity and identify necessary accruals and adjustments
- Prepare and post journal entries across revenue, banking, and property activity
Drive Accuracy & Insight
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations with precision
- Maintain supporting schedules (AR, AP, prepaid rent, intercompany, loans, accruals)
- Analyze financial activity and investigate variances
Keep the Business Moving
- Track and ensure timely payments (taxes, insurance, debt service, distributions)
- Assist with accounts payable processes as needed
- Calculate cash available for distribution and identify shortfalls
Deliver High-Impact Reporting
- Compile monthly reporting packages that leadership can rely on
- Support audit and tax processes with accurate and organized documentation
- Assist with transactions like acquisitions, dispositions, and refinances
Collaborate & Improve
- Partner with property operations teams and fellow accountants across locations
- Support due diligence efforts and special projects
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance scalability, controls, and efficiency
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 2–3+ years of accounting experience (real estate or property accounting a plus)
- Strong Excel skills (you know your way around formulas and data)
- Experience with Yardi is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with confidence
