The Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority (SNVRHA) is recruiting a Senior Service Program Coordinator to join our team. SNRHA provides affordable housing to low- and moderate-income households through its public and affordable housing programs. Position Summary

The Senior Service Program Coordinator provides case management services to assist SNRHA resident senior citizens in receiving social services program benefits.

Duties and Responsibilities

This position is accountable for performing the following duties and responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation.


Carry a caseload of senior services program clients; schedule and conduct regular meetings with program participants and assist them in maintaining a healthy lifestyle in accordance with Housing Authority policy and procedures. Maintain all files in an orderly manner and in accordance with HUD guidelines. Provide advocacy, information, and assistance to senior and disabled residents; refer clients to service providers and community resources as required.Track client participation and other statistics as required for internal and external reporting; maintain client records to meet HUD and SNRHA standards; maintain records of activities and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required. Provide and coordinate activities that serve, support, and socialize elderly clients, including group activities, food distributions, health fairs, educational activities, and cultural events, as required.Perform client assessments to determine their needs, lifestyle improvements, and economic assistance; assist clients in enrolling in social services programs and accessing community resources and services as required. Conduct outreach programs and recruitments to promote programs and senior services as required.Establishing working relationships with social service agencies and other community-based resources as required.Create social programs and services to address recreational, health, and educational needs as required. Keep informed of community, social, and economic resources available to low-income senior residents.Maintain absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, client records, and SNRHA information.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are intended to identify applicants most likely to perform successfully. Applicants who meet minimum qualifications are not guaranteed an interview; however, they are further assessed to determine how well they meet the position's minimum qualifications and the agency's immediate business needs. Applicants should possess the following:

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services, Public Administration, or a related field, in addition to three (3) years of social services case management program work experience.


A combination of formal education and directly related work experience may substitute for the degree. The Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority (SNRHA) assesses one and a half (1.5) years of full-time experience as equivalent to one (1) year of education.


Internal candidates will meet the minimum qualifications with a minimum of six (6) years of relevant work experience administering public or affordable housing programs and/or human or social services programs in lieu of the educational requirement.


Licenses and Certifications:


Valid Nevada Driver’s License, or the ability to obtain one.


SNRHA utilizes Criteria for online employment testing. Successful candidates will be invited via email to participate in the testing for further consideration in the recruitment process. Failure to participate in the testing is considered a withdrawal by the candidate.



Preferred Qualifications

Preferred qualifications are desired above and beyond minimum qualifications that demonstrate additional education, experience, training, or other credentials. Preference may be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualifications:


General knowledge of social services available to vulnerable and elderly populations within the city.Experience assisting a diverse population of residents and tenants, including low-income, disabled, and elderly.Prior experience working with a housing authority
