Accounts Payable Clerk at Medical Center Hospital – Odessa, Texas

Position Summary:

Process all disbursements for liabilities resulting from the purchase of goods and services used in operations of the hospital. Assist in the maintenance of all information necessary to support the Accounts Payable function. Compile data for selected month-end journal entries, statistical and financial reporting.

Education:

High School graduate or equivalent. Associate Degree or equivalent work experience, college level accounting education preferred.

Training and Experience:

Accounts Payable and/or Accounting experience preferred. 10-key by touch, substantial personal computer experience, including but not limited to Microsoft Office.

Job Knowledge:

Good analytical skills; limited technical accounting skills; verbal and written communication ability; ability to carry out defined procedures and duties under specific instructions.
