Medical Assistant - Cancer Center at Thibodaux Regional Health System – Thibodaux, Louisiana

The Medical Assistant is responsible for rendering professional clinical assistance to patients within the Cancer Center in support of the provider(s), nurses, and other medical personnel. Works directly with the provider(s) as a liaison between the patient and the provider for establishing and maintaining quality patient care.

Educational and/or Professional Qualifications:

1. Graduate of a Medical Assistant training Program preferred.

Previous Experience
1. Public interaction work desired.
Other Special Training or Skills
1. Receives on the job training for office specific tasks
2. Knowledge of medical terminology.
3. Ability to learn quickly from oral and written instructions.
4. Typing skills required.
5. Demonstrates good interpersonal skills.
