Craft Helper / Skilled Laborer (Industrial Construction)
Location: Arizona / Southwest Travel Required (Including Border Projects)

Position Overview
Durus Industrial is seeking reliable, hard-working craft helpers to support multi-trade crews across structural steel, concrete, welding, and piping scopes in heavy industrial and infrastructure environments.
This position is an entry-to-mid-level role designed for individuals who want to build a long-term career in the trades. Craft helpers are expected to support field operations while developing the skills necessary to advance into higher-level craft positions.
Durus is actively supporting large-scale infrastructure efforts, including border wall construction and repair, requiring personnel who can perform in remote, high-production environments.
Core Responsibilities
- Support ironworkers, welders, pipefitters, concrete crews, and equipment operators
- Perform material handling, jobsite organization, and general labor tasks
- Assist with layout, measuring, cutting, and basic installation activities
- Prepare and stage tools, equipment, and materials for crews
- Clean and maintain work areas to ensure safe and efficient operations
- Assist with loading/unloading materials and equipment
- Follow direction from foremen and lead craftsmen
Qualifications
- 1–3+ years of construction or industrial labor experience preferred
- Willingness to learn multiple trades and develop new skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding work (lifting, climbing, working outdoors)
- Basic familiarity with hand tools and power tools
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to follow direction
- Ability to work safely in active industrial environments
Work Environment & Expectations
- Travel required across AZ, NM, and surrounding regions
- Active work on remote project sites, including border wall construction zones
- Extended work schedules aligned with long-duration projects (not short-term outage work)
- Work performed in remote environments
- Outdoor work in extreme conditions (heat, dust, terrain)
- Zero-tolerance safety culture—PPE and compliance required at all times
