The City of Bothell is seeking a temporary Seasonal Mechanic – Lube Technician to assist with basic automotive service tasks such as oil changes, fluid checks, inspections, and other routine maintenance. This role supports full-time staff in keeping vehicles and equipment safe, reliable, and ready for daily operations.

Note: This is a Temporary Full-Time position. The anticipated end date for this position will be four (4) full months from hire. This is also a non-represented and non-benefited position.

Default schedule will be the following: Mondays to Fridays, 5/8 schedule, from 7am – 3:30pm

What will you do in this position?

  • Conduct routine lubrication services, including oil and filter changes, on both light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Inspect vehicles to assess fluid levels, identify leaks, and evaluate tire condition, belts, hoses, and basic mechanical components.
  • Perform tire rotations and replace wiper blades, air filters, and other minor service tasks.
  • Accurately maintains service records and maintenance logs.
  • Support fleet staff with basic repairs and preventive maintenance tasks.
