What you need to know about this position:
- Our Operating Room is home to 12 + 1 rooms, conducting over 7,000 surgeries per year. From bariatric to gynecology to orthopedic to cardiovascular procedures, our surgical team is focused on creating a comfortable and positive experience for our patients and their families.
- This position assists the Anesthesiologist in carrying out the functions of the Anesthesia Department by providing assistance during cases throughout the organization, including the departments within the Surgical Service Line, the Cardiovascular Service Line, Radiology, Labor and Delivery, and Emergency Services.
- This position has direct oversight of anesthesia equipment functionality and maintenance of supplies and drugs for anesthesia.
- Working within an assigned service line team in Surgical Services, the Anesthesia RN Clinical Coordinator assumes front-line management of assigned service line.
- The base hourly rate for this position is $38.52. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
- This part-time position will require you to work 24 hours a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 6:30am-3:00pm, with a holiday and on-call rotation.
What is required for this position:
Education and/or Experience
- RN licensure, BSN or bachelor's in related field desired
- Minimum of CNII
- Three years of perioperative nursing experience required, with critical care experience preferred.
- Expert knowledge of the surgery process preferred.
- All others are defined for the CNII RN.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Licensed (currently) as a registered nurse in Indiana. Certification preferred after 2 years within position. Advancement within Clinical Enhancement Program (CEP) is contingent upon the successful completion of the application process for the level for which a nurse is applying. Nursing management holds the final decision on all promotions.
- CN-II education as a registered nurse, demonstrate proficiency in over 75% of CN-I accountabilities after one year of promotion to CN-II
- CN-III educational requirement as registered nurse, however, BSN is recommended. Retention as CN-III, is required yearly
- CN-IV educational requirement is registered nurse, plus MSN. Retention as CN-IV, is required yearly.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
