This role sits at the core of a modern cloud-first security organization, where you will help monitor, detect, and respond to threats across complex cloud environments. You will play a key part in strengthening security posture across AWS and Azure infrastructures while ensuring compliance with leading industry frameworks. Working closely with CloudOps, Enterprise IT, and risk teams, you will help design and operate scalable security controls that protect critical data systems. You will also contribute to vulnerability management, incident response, and security awareness initiatives that shape organizational resilience. In this role, you will be responsible for strengthening cloud security operations, managing vulnerabilities, and ensuring effective security monitoring and response across enterprise environments.
- Monitor, assess, and maintain security controls across AWS and Azure cloud environments
- Lead vulnerability management activities, including tracking penetration testing findings, remediation plans, and mitigation follow-up
- Support incident response processes and assist in investigation, analysis, and documentation of security events
- Integrate and manage security tools such as SIEM, EDR, and IAM solutions within cloud environments
- Collaborate with CloudOps and IT teams to design, implement, and enhance cloud security architecture
- Manage and improve the security awareness program, including training, phishing simulations, and engagement initiatives
- Participate in vendor risk management and support customer and compliance audit processes
- Maintain KPIs and security metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities
- Ensure cloud security configurations align with industry frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, and FedRAMP
- Serve as a cloud security subject matter expert supporting governance, risk, and compliance initiatives
This role requires strong hands-on cloud security experience, deep knowledge of AWS environments, and the ability to operate across technical, operational, and compliance-focused domains.
- 5+ years of experience in Information Security or Security Operations roles
- 3+ years of hands-on experience securing cloud environments (AWS required, Azure preferred)
- Strong understanding of cloud security architecture, secure communications, and data protection practices
- Experience working with SIEM, EDR, IAM, and integrated security tooling
- Solid knowledge of vulnerability management, threat analysis, and incident response practices
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type 2, NIST, and FedRAMP (ISO 42001 is an asset)
- Ability to analyze security risks, identify root causes, and recommend remediation strategies
- Strong communication skills with the ability to document and present security findings clearly
- Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or CISA considered strong assets
