Position Overview

The District Manager at Klatch Coffee oversees the operational performance, team development, and overall success of multiple café locations within an assigned district. This role ensures each store consistently delivers outstanding coffee quality, exceptional customer service, and operational excellence.

Working closely with café managers and company leadership, the District Manager supports store teams, develops future leaders, and helps drive sustainable growth while maintaining Klatch Coffee’s reputation for craft coffee and hospitality.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple café locations within the district.
  • Conduct regular store visits to ensure operational consistency, cleanliness, and adherence to company standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow, service efficiency, and store performance.
  • Support managers with scheduling, staffing, inventory management, and operational execution.
Team Development & Leadership
  • Recruit, train, and mentor café managers and shift leaders.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to strengthen leadership skills within store teams.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and help managers set professional development goals.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive culture across the district.
Sales & Financial Management
  • Monitor store performance, sales trends, and operational costs.
  • Support store managers in achieving revenue goals while maintaining strong cost control.
  • Assist with budget planning and financial forecasting for district locations.
  • Help implement strategies that improve sales and operational efficiency.
Customer Experience
  • Ensure every Klatch Coffee location delivers exceptional hospitality and service.
  • Support store teams in creating welcoming environments for customers and communities.
  • Address escalated customer concerns and help stores resolve service challenges effectively.
  • Encourage community engagement and local partnerships that strengthen brand presence.
Brand Standards & Product Quality
  • Maintain Klatch Coffee’s high standards for beverage quality, presentation, and consistency.
  • Ensure stores follow established brewing techniques and product preparation standards.
  • Support implementation of seasonal menus, promotions, and new product launches.
  • Conduct routine audits to maintain brand integrity across all locations.
Communication & Collaboration
  • Serve as a key connection between company leadership and store teams.
  • Communicate company initiatives, operational updates, and expectations clearly.
  • Collaborate with operations, training, and marketing teams to support company goals.
  • Facilitate regular meetings and communication with store managers.
First 30 Days in the Role

During the first month, the District Manager focuses on learning the business, building relationships, and understanding each store’s strengths and opportunities.

Key priorities include:

  • Visiting every store within the district.
  • Meeting with store managers and leadership teams.
  • Evaluating operational performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Understanding staffing needs and team dynamics.
  • Learning Klatch Coffee’s systems, processes, and quality standards.
First 90 Days in the Role

Within the first three months, the District Manager begins implementing improvements and strengthening leadership within the district.

Key focuses include:

  • Establishing strong working relationships with all store teams.
  • Supporting managers in improving operational consistency and service standards.
  • Identifying high-potential team members for leadership development.
  • Implementing operational improvements that enhance efficiency and customer experience.
  • Strengthening communication and accountability across the district.

Requirements: Qualifications
  • 5+ years of management experience in retail, café, hospitality, or food & beverage environments.
  • Multi-unit leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Experience managing operational performance and financial results.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly between café locations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods during store visits.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to travel between locations as needed.
