Job Description
FUNCTION:
Respond to customer solicitations and provide the manufacturing and production control departments with all necessary documentation and information needed to efficiently complete the requirements of a customer contract.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
· Cost reduction and improved efficiency.
· Improved manufacturing processes and quality for current and future projects.
· Stabilizes work force through accurate labor estimates and provides information related to cash-flow requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Review and respond to request for quotes to improve overall quality, productivity and understanding of customer requirements.
· Create routers for tools and cost-effective routing through the shop, identifying ways for expediting product where possible.
· Provide technical assistance to supervision and machinists with questions pertaining to the manufacturing process.
· Identify fixturing and special tooling needs as required.
Requirements:DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical or manufacturing engineering required.
· Must be a US citizen.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE/SKILL
· Minimum five years of experience with large turning, multi-axis milling, fabrication and assembly operations and machine tool applications required.
· Exceptional problem solving, troubleshooting skills, attention to detail and accuracy required.
· Excellent communication skills with ability to work with people at levels of the organization.
· Working knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading is required.

JOB ENVIRONMENT:
· Works in a combination of office settings for engineering-based work, and production floor environments for process implementation and troubleshooting.
· Regular presence required in machine shops, fabrication areas, and assembly facilities to observe operations, collect data, and implement process improvements.
· Exposure to industrial environments including machine oils, coolants, welding fumes, and moderate to high noise levels during floor activities.
· Office work involves CAD systems, ERP software, and technical documentation review.
· Position requires collaboration across multiple departments and direct interaction with production personnel
