Auto Technician at Jim Shorkey Family Auto Group – Gainesville, Georgia

We are in search of a full time Automotive Technician to join our Gainesville Nissan location. To excel in this position, we are in search of an individual who has excellent technical skills and familiarity with the repair and maintenance of vehicles. You will be in charge of diagnosing a customers vehicle issues, then repairing the issue.

Responsibilities:

• Able to diagnose and repair automotive systems including engines, steering, brakes, suspension, transmission, air conditioning, etc.
• Complete service and repair assignments efficiently, safely and correct, to pass quality inspections set forth by dealership and manufacturer quality standards
• Comply with company safety policies and procedures
• Communicate directly with service advisors regarding the status of the service work
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques

• Nissan Certified Technician preferred but not required.
• Must be over 18 years of age
• Saturdays are required
• Working knowledge of shop equipment (such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.)
• 1+ years of Automotive knowledge
• Valid driver’s license
