JOB SUMMARY:
Berkeley Hills Country Club is a premier private country club serving members and guests at our Bar & Grille in Duluth, Georgia. We take pride in running a clean, organized, and professional kitchen — and that starts with a strong dish team.
We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Dishwasher and Kitchen Utility team member to help keep our operation running smoothly from open to close. This is a hands-on, physical role that is essential to everything we do in the kitchen. If you work hard, stay on top of your station, and take pride in keeping things clean, you will fit right in here.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Empty all trash cans throughout the kitchen regularly during and after every shift
- Replace trash liners immediately after emptying — no can should sit without a liner
- Break down cardboard boxes and remove them to the designated recycling area
- Transport all trash bags to the dumpster area in a clean and safe manner
- Wash off and hose down trash cans regularly to prevent odor and buildup
- Keep the dumpster area clean and organized — sweep, hose down, and remove any debris around the dumpsters on a regular basis Dish Station & Equipment:
- Operate the dish machine throughout service, keeping pace with the kitchen flow
- Hand-wash, scrub, rinse, and sanitize all pots, pans, sheet trays, hotel pans, and kitchen equipment
- Rinse and wipe down the dish machine and entire station every morning before service begins
- Perform a full wash-down of the dish machine, station, and surrounding area at the close of every night
- Keep the dish pit organized at all times — no buildup, no stacking hazards, no standing water on the floor
- Return all clean dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, and equipment to their correct storage locations promptly
Sanitation:
- Fill sanitizer buckets at the start of every shift and refresh them throughout the day as required
- Ensure soap dispensers and paper towels are stocked at all dish and hand-washing sinks
- Maintain all work surfaces, shelving, and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition at all times
- Follow all health department and club sanitation standards without exception
Trash & Waste Management:
- Report any dumpster or trash area issues to the Chef immediately
General Kitchen Support:
- Sweep and mop all kitchen floors during and after service
- Assist kitchen staff with basic prep tasks or stocking as directed by the Chef
- Keep walk-in cooler entryways and back-of-house areas clean and clear
- Report any equipment issues, leaks, or safety concerns to the Chef right away
- Always maintain a professional attitude and be a team player

Requirements:REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Dependable — you show up on time and ready to work every shift
Ability to work morning shifts, evening shifts, or both depending on availability
Able to work at a fast pace in a hot, high-energy kitchen environment
Strong attention to detail when it comes to cleanliness and organization
A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Prior dishwasher or kitchen experience is a plus — but not required, we will train the right person
