Physician Billing Liaison at Froedtert South, Inc. – Kenosha, Wisconsin

POSITION PURPOSE

Areas of emphasis will include supporting the transition of managerial duties to Billing Manager. Secondary responsibilities will include monitoring and working administrative billing workqueues, assisting with calendar-year-end coding updates, reviewing communications from insurances, and providing coverage in follow-up workqueues as directed.

5 – 10 years of billing management experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED

Previous experience managing a physician-billing department. Exceptional knowledge of procedure and diagnosis coding as well as payor rules and CMS regulatory requirements. Ability to read, write, speak, hear and comprehend the English language.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Access, input, and retrieve information from system’s Electronic Health Record. Communicate and develop a working/problem solving relationship with coworkers, physician office staff, and insurance companies. Utilize telephone skills to allow for courteous and professional contact with patients, insurance companies, physician offices, and coworkers. Access and retrieve information from various insurance websites to verify claim and eligibility status along with carrier submission guidelines. Accurately appeal problem claims with the appropriate insurance company. Research and resolve overpayments.
