Group Fitness Aqua Instructor in Carmel, Indiana at The Bridgewater Club LLC

The Bridgewater Club is seeking an experienced Aqua Fitness Instructor to lead dynamic group aqua fitness and aqua joint mobility classes for participants of all ages and fitness levels. Successful candidates must possess the ability to accommodate and anticipate member needs and modifications and be comfortable teaching classes both in the water and from the pool deck.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:·

• Exhibit leadership abilities as the Aqua Fitness Instructor.
• Create, promote and teach safe and effective aqua fitness classes.
• Possess the ability to implement activities and take initiative.
• Maintain documentation of activities and rosters.
• Maintain accurate records including registration, incidents reports, etc.
• Be a positive role model in your attitude and behavior.
• Develop and maintain a supportive environment that encourages the needs, interests and goals of each member.
• Fosters positive and supportive relationships with staff.
• Performs any other related duties as assigned by the Wellness Services Supervisor.

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent,
• 2 years prior teaching experience preferred.

Qualifications/Certifications:

• Hold and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification
• Current National Certification: All group fitness and aqua fitness instructors are required to have a current national certification (AEA, AFM, ACE, NDEITA, YMCA, ACSM, or comparable)
