Job Description


The Professional Development Team is responsible for the coordination and administration of all MetroTex provided educational programs and training, with a focus on mandatory continuing education programs as well as industry specific professional designation courses. It is expected that as an outstanding communicator with a talent for building strong relationships between members and the Association, that information and guidance will be provided on an ongoing and continuous basis in response to instructor and membership needs.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assists with maintaining the educational program course registration system by inputting and scheduling courses, processing payments, reconciling attendance for all courses, and preparing registration and attendance reports.
  • Communicates and disseminates TREC information to members as well as members of the public regarding course availability and pre-licensing or post licensing information via telephone or electronic delivery.
  • Provides customer care to course instructors by processing instructor contracts, making hotel arrangements, providing on site assistance including equipment and presentation setup, and processing instructor payments.
  • Responsible for providing administrative support for all professional development programs, and includes the preparation of course materials, presentation of the Association Services segment, securing sponsors, onsite check-in, attendance records, room setup and tear down.
  • Secures and maintains records for class and other educational event sponsors.
  • Acts as a liaison with the Texas Real Estate Commission to ensure course approval and to prepare and submit administrative reports and other paperwork for approved courses.
  • Provides administrative support for the advisory groups supported by the Professional Development department by preparing meeting packets, providing room setup, attending committee meetings, maintaining attendance records, and ensuring the timely posting of meeting notices, minutes and agendas.
  • Assists the Professional Development Director with research, development, and revision of course offerings and the preparation of administrative reports.
  • Collaborates with the Marketing/Communications staff to provide the information necessary to promote and market education courses to encourage and/or improve interest in the program(s).
  • Responsible for timely response to all departmental voicemail and email inquiries.
  • Maintains company established filing and record keeping systems.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate's Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer skills required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet Software, and Adobe Pro
  • Must be able to legally work in the United States without sponsorship.

8:30 - 5:00 Monday through Friday
One hour lunch period

37.50 work week
Overtime not authorized unless approved in advance by supervisor
