Weekends Required: Unlikely and at the student's discretion
Evenings Required: Unlikely and for the most part, student can choose their own hours

Job Description

  • ee360+ is a multi-year EPA-funded initiative of the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE) that supports innovative, equitable, inclusive environmental education (EE). Antioch University New Englands EE Program within the Environmental Studies Department is one of seven lead ee360+ partners (for details, see here, https://naaee.org/programs/ee360) and has served a key role in the dissemination of NAAEEs Community Engagement Environmental Education Guidelines for Excellence (CEGs).
  • The person in this position supports Antiochs ee360+ team with outreach projects, web-based resource curation, and programmatic deliverables outlined in Year 4/5 work plan. Duties include a wide range of educational design, outreach, and administrative tasks and responsibilities, such as:
  • Assist with the design and implementation of presentations, workshops, and complementary curricular materials focused on the NAAEE Community Engagement Environmental Education Guidelines.
  • Provide programmatic support and assist with administrative duties on a consistent basis to ensure high-quality, timely communications of this multi-faceted national initiative (e.g., workshop planning logistics, email and other outreach communications, notices about the Guidelines in general, and train-the-trainer workshops via eePRO, champion spring 2025 e-newsletter).
  • In collaboration with ee360+ team, complete research and/or creation of educational resources on priority topics and tools with the Community Engagement Guidelines, especially those that complement eeVAL programming.
  • As your interest allows, you may play a key role in expanding upon the equity and inclusion modules content and making it more accessible to an online audience.
  • Represent AUNEs ee360+ team in various regional and national venues (e.g., ee360+/eeVAL virtual meetings, conferences).
  • Contribute to relevant evaluative data compilation/collection and report writing on an as-needed basis.
  • Work to enhance synergy across this initiative and associated culturally responsive, equitable evaluation initiative (eeVAL).
  • Cultivate web-based presence of AUNE ee360+, eeVAL activities, and EE programming.
  • Highlight current EE student and graduate accomplishments for web publication.
  • Other duties as identified in collaboration with the EE faculty, ee360+, and eeVAL Antioch team members to ensure completion of annual deliverables, enhance programmatic synergies, and support for AUNEs EE programming.

Qualifications

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, flexibility, capacity to work independently and as part of a team, tech savvy, strong writing skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to follow through, network, and seek out resources required.
  • Interest and/or experience in graphic design, digital media, evaluation, and project management are a plus, though not required.
  • Preference given to individuals familiar with environmental education, community engagement, culturally responsive pedagogy, Antiochs EE Program, and/or experience in the field.
