About This Position

Role and Responsibilities

  • Setup machine- basic troubleshooting problems, loading, films, settings, etc… and monitors to make sure it is running efficiently.
  • Monitors and assists with equipment upstream/downstream to ensure continuous operation.
  • Follow packaging schedule, quality control and sanitation procedures concerning, weights, packs, descriptions, dates, cleanup and changeovers.
  • Maintain and exceed production, quality and safety standards.
  • Clean machine properly after production runs or changeovers.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
  • Observe all plant safety, GMP and allergen procedures and attend appropriate training sessions.
  • Follow company policies
  • Perform all other duties as required.
  • Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP and SQF requirements.
  • Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to your supervisor.
  • Responsible for partnering with others; Sharing knowledge, skills and information within your team and across functional areas.
  • Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.
  • Should be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be willing to work some flexible schedules and work in areas as needed to help meet operations needs including weekends and holidays
  • Follow supervisor's directives and be able to support the shift team as needed.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Educational Background: N/A

Experience: Must have experience with operating and maintaining the machines and ensuring the entire production line is running efficiently.

Preferred Skills

Must be able to communicate with others as well as management

Must understand FDA guide lines and company policies. Mathematical skills

Bilingual is preferred, Tracks performance data and communicates exceptions.
