SARA is looking for an independent team-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk with solid written and verbal communication who possess the abilities to appropriately determine priorities and stay organized to support activities in Colorado Springs, CO.

Core Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming and outgoing shipments including freight packages and purchased materials, consisting of creating paperwork trails and shipment labels with attention to detail
- Validate shipping contents to purchase orders
- Communicate with vendors about shipments while staying apprised of order statuses, damaged items, incomplete orders, as well as other problems that may arise
- Input and maintain daily accurate status updates in Costpoint system for inventory, shipping and receiving transactions
- Obtain Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMA)
- Communicate with the corporate division and internal engineering team members, keeping them apprised of order information, as needed
- Handle international shipping needs both internally and through broker relationships
- Complete database entries for taggable materials, remove items as needed, as well as creating department reports as requested
- Assist with Government Property life cycle (property transfer, tagging, etc) as needed
Requirements:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Prior shipping/receiving/warehouse experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office tool suite
- Must have organizational skills and possess the ability to appropriately prioritize
- Moderate/heavy physical effort, involving standing, sitting and use of hands while performing duties, manual dexterity, multiclimb coordination, climbing ladders, static strength (muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects), trunk strength (abdominal and lower back muscles to support the part of the body repeatedly or continuously in action), carrying or lifting up to 50 pounds
- Working environment is indoor, moderately loud, reasonably clean, well-lighted and well-ventilated, moderate physical hazards may exist
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience operating a forklift
- Inventory experience
- Costpoint or similar software experience
- Ability to inspect parts per print or specifications

Pay Range
Salary at SARA is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $18 to $22 (hourly USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of SARA’s total compensation package for employees. Positions are on-site, unless indicated otherwise.
