Position Description: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team at GreenThumb Tree Services. This role is crucial in accurately assessing the scope, cost, and time needed for various tree service projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tree services, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate project requirements to clients and team members.

• Project Assessment: Visit project sites to assess the scope of work required, including tree removal, trimming, and debris clearing. Identify potential risks, challenges, and equipment needs.
• Cost Estimation: Accurately calculate the costs associated with labor, materials, and equipment to create competitive, yet profitable, estimates for clients.
• Proposal Development: Prepare and present detailed and professional estimates and proposals to clients, outlining the scope of work, timeline, and pricing.
• Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to understand their needs, answer questions about the estimate, and explain the work that will be involved.
• Bid Submission: Collaborate with the business development team to submit competitive bids and participate in bid reviews for larger projects.
• Project Scheduling: Work with operations to develop a timeline for project completion, factoring in equipment availability and manpower.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all estimates, proposals, and completed projects, updating the CRM system as needed.
• Market Awareness: Stay up-to-date on industry pricing, trends, and best practices to ensure estimates are competitive and align with company profitability goals.

• Proven experience as an Estimator in tree services, landscaping, or a related industry
• Strong knowledge of tree service equipment, techniques, and safety requirements
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for accurate estimating
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid drivers license and ability to travel to job sites as needed
• Certification or experience in arboriculture is a plus
