Are you an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician looking to expand your skills in a fast-paced and rewarding specialty practice? Beacon Veterinary Specialists in Fremont, CA, is excited to welcome a dedicated and detail-oriented RVT to our Surgery Department!

  • Competitive pay: $36 - $40 per hour, based on experience

About the Role:

As a Registered Veterinary Technician in our Surgery Department, you'll play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our patients and supporting our surgeons through a variety of pre-, peri-, and post-operative tasks.

Key Skills We’re Looking For:
  • Anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery care

  • IV catheter placement and patient preparation for surgery

  • Surgical assistance, including maintaining sterile protocols and managing surgical instruments

  • Administering medications and treatments as directed

  • Venipuncture, wound care, and bandaging

  • Handling in-house lab work and maintaining accurate patient records

  • Clear communication with clients, including post-op instructions and patient updates

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Conduct pre-operative assessments, including taking vitals and reviewing patient history

  • Assist surgeons during procedures, following sterile techniques and managing equipment

  • Provide attentive monitoring of patients under anesthesia and during recovery

  • Document patient information accurately within medical records

  • Offer compassionate client communication and education about patient care and post-operative expectations
