Responsibilities & Expectations
- Program and operate Coordinating Measuring Machine (CMM) to perform inspection procedures with software.
- Identify non-conformances based on inspections. Inspect materials to quality standards.
- Verify non-conformances with mechanical inspection.
- Determines acceptance or rejection of products based on requirements.
- Completes all required documentation such as work instructions, audits, product handling, quality reports, non-conforming reports, etc.
- Handle multiple and changing priorities.
- Respond to written and verbal instructions.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Other reasonable duties as business and operational needs dictate.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Able to understand geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics, specifications, and customer documents.
- Experience in surface plate layout and precision mechanical measuring tool use.
- Familiar with hand inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Mechanical inspection experience
- Experience programming and operating CMM and mechanical inspection equipment.
- Quality oriented personality.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, time management and follow-up skills.
- Proficient in the use of computers including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Possess a high degree of initiative and be self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision.
