About This Position
The Clinical Educator-Community oversees need for community-based education related to CPR in collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Educator.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluates effectiveness of educational activities conducted and revises materials as necessary.
- Plans, coordinates and implements CPR programs for community needs.
- Maintains accurate records of educational activities offered and communicates and reports as appropriate.
- Ensures that workplace environments are safe and that strategies are in place to prevent physical and psychological harm.
- Demonstrates clear ownership of workplace and patient safety.
- Reports mistakes, near misses, adverse events and quality and safety concerns.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
Job Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Licensure/Certification: Current Indiana EMT or Paramedic Certification or Indiana RN license in good standing.
Experience: 2-4 years of healthcare experience in a clinical setting required, Supervisory or teaching experienced preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Evidence of skills in leadership, creativity, integrity and positive attitude.
Physical Requirements: Frequent sitting, standing and walking. Able to lift 100 lbs unassisted. Frequent bending, reaching and stooping. Adequate hearing and vision for effective communication.
