Field Service Technician at QUANTUM DESIGN INC – San Diego, California

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Field Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, modifying, and repairing equipment and systems while providing exceptional customer support. This includes responding to service requests via phone and email, managing CRM tickets, and conducting on-site installation and testing to ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, modify, and repair equipment and systems following established policies and procedures.
• Perform on-site testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper equipment functionality.
• Provide technical support via phone and email, including CRM ticket management.
• Diagnose equipment start-up malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
• Train customers on proper equipment operation and maintenance.
• Represent the company professionally in customer interactions, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
• Maintain detailed service records, including daily logs and reports.

• Bachelor's degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related technical field, OR 3-4 years of experience as a Field Service Technician.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%+, including potential international travel.
