Director of Construction Services (materials testing) at Ninyo & Moore – San Diego, California

Job Description: Ninyo & Moore Geotechnical & Environmental Sciences Consultants has an opening for a Director of Construction Services in our San Diego Corporate Headquarters to oversee field and lab operations for our construction materials testing division. The successful candidate will support senior management and oversee construction services including materials testing and inspection services in our San Diego, California office, including supervision of technicians and special inspectors. Additional responsibilities will include collaboration with project engineers/managers in construction services project duties. The candidate will have involvement with the field equipment and laboratory services and will supervise the work of the Field Operations Manager, Laboratory Manager, Radiation Safety Officer as well as participate in staff recruitment, development, and have direct involvement with business development and marketing efforts.

Education: B.S. /M.S. /M.E. in Civil Engineering

Certification: Registered Civil Engineer in the State of California (i.e. current valid California PE license required)

Required Skills: The desired candidate will have a minimum of ten years work experience in geotechnical engineering, construction quality control or materials testing and inspection, with at least five years of management experience.

Desired Skills: The ideal candidate will bring local experience and familiarity with the local, state, and national codes and practices.
