Position Overview

Jaguar Land Rover Clear Lake is seeking an experienced, motivated, and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our luxury sales team. This individual will work closely with the General Sales Manager (GSM) to drive dealership performance by leading daily sales operations, developing team members, maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction, and achieving departmental sales and profitability goals.

The ideal candidate is an energetic leader with a proven track record in automotive sales management who is passionate about delivering an exceptional luxury buying experience while developing a high-performing sales team.

Responsibilities

Sales Leadership

  • Lead, motivate, and coach the sales team to consistently achieve and exceed monthly sales objectives.
  • Assist the General Sales Manager in developing and executing sales strategies to maximize dealership profitability.
  • Monitor daily sales activities, appointments, customer traffic, and closing ratios.
  • Ensure all sales staff follow dealership processes and best practices.

Customer Experience

  • Maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
  • Assist sales consultants in resolving customer concerns and overcoming objections.
  • Ensure every customer receives a premium luxury buying experience consistent with the Jaguar Land Rover brand.
  • Follow up on customer feedback and online reviews to continuously improve customer satisfaction.

Team Development

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop sales consultants.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions and performance reviews.
  • Hold daily sales meetings to review goals, product knowledge, and current promotions.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on accountability and success.

Sales Performance

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Monitor individual salesperson performance and implement action plans when necessary.
  • Assist with structuring deals to maximize profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with all manufacturer programs and dealership policies.

Inventory Management

  • Work with the GSM and Used Vehicle Manager to maintain an inventory that meets customer demand.
  • Monitor aging inventory and assist with merchandising and pricing strategies.
  • Stay informed on market trends, vehicle availability, and competitive pricing.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure timely follow-up with prospects.
  • Review and approve sales documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor sales reports, KPIs, and dealership metrics.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, manufacturer, and dealership regulations.

Manufacturer Standards

  • Stay current on Jaguar Land Rover product knowledge and manufacturer training.
  • Ensure the sales team completes all required manufacturer certifications.
  • Promote compliance with Jaguar Land Rover customer satisfaction standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of automotive sales management experience preferred.
  • Luxury automotive experience is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a high-performing sales team.
  • Strong understanding of dealership operations, CRM systems, and desking processes.
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including Saturdays.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
