Role:
The Talent and Engagement Specialist is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle and driving employee engagement initiatives to support the Credit Union's strategic goals. This role focuses on attracting top-tier talent while fostering a culture of Integrity, Care, Growth, and Innovation. This role also has a focus on career development for the entire organization and collaborating with local colleges to build and maintain an internship program for the Credit Union. By enhancing the employee experience from recruitment through the first 60 days, the Specialist ensures Gulf Winds remains a high-performing Credit Union.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
30% Lead the recruitment process by identifying staffing needs, sourcing candidates through diverse channels, and conducting interviews to ensure a high-quality talent pipeline.
20% Facilitate the new hire experience, including documentation, orientation, and coordination with managers to ensure successful integration into the Gulf Winds culture.
15% Support and execute career development, engagement initiatives, recognition events, the internship program, and wellness programs to boost morale and retention across all regions.
10% Collaborate with Marketing to enhance employer branding initiatives, ensuring Gulf Winds is represented as an employer of choice in the community.
10% Maintain accurate records within the HRIS/ATS and track recruitment metrics to report on the effectiveness of hiring strategies. Consult with hiring managers on selection criteria and workforce planning to meet the evolving needs of various departments.
10% Ensure all hiring practices comply with employment laws and regulations, including BSA, OFAC, and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) standards. Actively participate in cross-functional projects and stay current on industry trends to identify opportunities for process improvement.
5% Other job-related duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:
1. Successfully fill vacancies within established time-to-hire benchmarks while maintaining high quality-of-hire ratings.
2. Achieve positive Net Promoter Scores (NPS) from candidates and hiring managers regarding the recruitment experience.
3. Deliver on-time completion of all assigned engagement tasks and reporting with zero unresolved errors.
4. Maintain a zero-tolerance record for compliance violations related to hiring regulations.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
Interpersonal Skills Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills Proficiency in Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook. Demonstrated ability to learn new software products. Ability to use all office equipment. Ability to make impactful presentations. Ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak English clearly. Must adhere to safety rules and regulations.
Physical Requirements This role requires sitting at a computer for most of the day. This role would also require the ability to file files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary. Work Environment The position is based in-office in our Pensacola, FL market, operates primarily in an office setting, and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and phones. This position requires consistent presence in the office to effectively collaborate with team members and fulfill job responsibilities. It requires the ability to actively participate in conference calls and meetings with other Credit Union team members and vendors. The normal expected work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30a.m. to 5:00p.m. Occasional after-hours work or travel may be required to meet project deadlines or attend conferences, seminars, or client meetings. Must adhere to safety rules and regulations.
