Job Description
The Warehouse Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in the day-to-day operations of an assigned facility. This position is available on first or second shift, with the specific schedule determined by facility needs. Reporting to the onsite management team, this position is responsible for overseeing production performance, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards, and driving continuous improvement across all operational functions. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a hands-on approach to problem-solving, and the ability to effectively communicate with team members, customers, and senior leadership. Prior pallet industry experience is a plus, but not required — we will train the right candidate. - Shift assignment will be determined based on facility needs and discussed during the interview process.
- Flexibility to support the opposite shift as needed for coverage, training, or peak production periods.
- Lead and support daily warehouse operations at an assigned facility.
- Partner with onsite leadership to meet customer service and quality standards.
- Track and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.
- Review performance reports and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate employee scheduling, timekeeping, and performance management.
- Assist in hiring, training, coaching, and retaining warehouse staff.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Monitor labor costs, minimize waste, and ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Serve as the main communication link between operations, employees, and customers.
- Inspire accountability, set clear goals, and promote a positive workplace culture.
- Establish and maintain consistent and proper communication with internal and external management teams.
- Partner with the onsite management team to ensure the customer's expectations of the highest level of quality standards and service are achieved.
- Ensure timely completion and administration of all employment tasks including employee scheduling, timekeeping, performance reviews, corrective actions, status changes, separations, attendance, and timely submission of required payroll data.
- Supervise or assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and retention of employees.
- Work with the onsite management team in administering operations standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and on-time delivery.
- Serve as an interface between operations, customers, administration, employees, and logistics.
- Provide leadership and guidance to frontline employees. Establish and communicate goals and objectives. Emphasize accountability and inspire positive behavior changes.
- Strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members, customers, and senior leadership.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a warehouse or production environment.
- Availability to work first or second shift, including occasional flexibility to support the opposite shift as business needs require.
- Pallet manufacturing, repair, or recycling knowledge is preferred but not required — candidates without pallet experience are encouraged to apply and will be trained.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed production and operational goals.
- Experience with employee scheduling, performance management, and HR processes.
- Strong analytical skills for reviewing reports and identifying areas for improvement.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
- This is a physically demanding role in a warehouse/production environment.
- The ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift for extended periods is required.
- Must be able to move or lift equipment, products, and materials.
- This is a non-climate-controlled warehouse/production environment.
- You may be exposed to dust, loud noise, and fluctuating temperatures (hot and cold).
- All duties require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
