Job Description
About Cozey
At Cozey, our vision is to become the world's leading furniture company. We're building it in the open: everyone here is encouraged to share ideas, push boundaries, take risks, and watch what they imagined actually make it out into the world. We use data to constantly learn, improve, and adapt, and we give you the tools you need to do your best work.
Right now, our retail presence is expanding fast. Every new store means more Ambassadors who need to know our products inside out and deliver a customer experience people talk about afterward. Training is what makes that possible, and this internship sits right at the center of it.
The mission of the Retail Training Intern at Cozey
Your mission is to help our retail teams learn faster and sell better by producing the content that gets them there. Over your Winter semester, you'll work directly with our Retail Training Specialist to research, edit, write, and organize the training our Ambassadors rely on every day, from short-form videos to in-store SOPs to full modules on LearnWorlds.
To do that well, you'll need to really know our products, our sales approach, and how a Cozey store actually runs. The best training content comes from someone who understands the reality of the retail floor, not just the theory.
You'll also get room to experiment. We're actively exploring how AI and new learning tools can make training faster to produce and better to learn from, and we want your ideas on that. Everything you create is reviewed and approved by the Retail Training Specialist before it goes live, so you'll get real feedback on real work.
What you'll be doing:
- Build a strong working knowledge of Cozey's products, sales approach, and in-store procedures so the training you create reflects what actually happens on the floor.
- Research and curate supporting resources (videos, articles, visuals) for training modules covering sales strategy, product knowledge, materials, and interior design.
- Edit short-form training videos using TikTok, CapCut, or equivalent tools.
- Structure and upload validated content into LearnWorlds, keeping modules clean, consistent, and easy to navigate.
- Write and maintain in-store SOPs that support Ambassador onboarding, and keep our Zendesk documentation current as products and procedures evolve.
- Test AI tools and new approaches in how we research, produce, and deliver training, and spot opportunities to make it more engaging and easier for retail teams to actually use.
What we're looking for:
- Bilingualism (English and French), and currently enrolled in communications, marketing, education, or a related field.
- Short-form video editing skills (TikTok, CapCut, or similar), paired with strong research instincts and a good eye for what's worth including.
- Clear, structured writing. You can turn a messy process into an SOP someone can actually follow.
- Highly organized and autonomous, comfortable owning deliverables with minimal supervision and picking up new products, tools, and procedures fast.
- Curious about AI and new technology, and genuinely interested in retail, interior design, or furniture.
- Retail or sales experience, especially in-store, and any exposure to e-learning platforms or content creation are strong assets. No corporate experience required, proactivity and curiosity matter more.
What we offer:
- A team of curious, driven people who like building things, and a culture where everyone's ideas land on the table.
- Exposure to Cozey's leadership team and the chance to learn from the people shaping where the company goes next.
- Room to experiment with AI and new learning tools.
- A salary of $20/hour.
- 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday, with the flexibility to work hybrid.
- A bright, dog-friendly office furnished with the pieces you'll be talking about all semester.
If you're ready to join us on our mission to build the best customer experience in furniture, we'd love to hear from you.
