About the Role
Performance Power Systems, a trusted marine industry leader for over 30 years, is hiring a Marine Diesel Technician in Pompano Beach, FL. This role focuses on marine diesel engine repair, generator service, and marine powertrain maintenance for pleasure and commercial vessels. We are an authorized dealer and service provider for Caterpillar, John Deere, Cummins, Cummins Onan, Volvo Penta, MAN, Scania, Northern Lights, and Kohler—offering hands-on experience with the most advanced marine diesel engines and generators in the industry.

What You'll Do
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair marine diesel engines, generators, and related mechanical, and electrical systems.
Perform field service, preventive maintenance, and repairs on main engines, auxiliary generators, and electrical systems aboard vessels.
Conduct engine diagnostics using the latest diagnostic tools and technology on Caterpillar, John Deere, Cummins, Volvo Penta, MAN, and Scania marine engines.
Deliver excellent customer service while working directly with boat owners, captains, and vessel representatives. Communicate job status and progress clearly with supervisors and fellow technicians. Maintain accurate service records and documentation of repairs performed.
What You'll Bring
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Marine Diesel Technician, Diesel Mechanic, or Marine Engine Technician. Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines; familiarity with Caterpillar, John Deere, Cummins, Volvo Penta, MAN, or Scania marine engines strongly preferred. Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Ability to read wiring diagrams and use diagnostic software/tools. Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, bend, kneel, and work in tight or confined vessel spaces. Full personal tool sets.
Valid driver's license; valid passport required for occasional out-of-town or international travel
Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset
High school diploma or equivalent; technical/trade school certification a plus (ABYC, marine engine manufacturer certifications, etc.)
Full-time, Monday–Friday, with occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work as needed to support customer schedules.
